Making technology work for people

I own products end to end, from early discovery through to live deployment: user flows, wireframing, prototyping at every fidelity, and iterative delivery. My strength is holding quality steady as a product scales and velocity climbs, the thinking behind the three-state Design QA Protocol I set on Kayanee, where nothing shipped until it had passed through Working, Shipping, and Sharing.

Token architecture, component libraries, governance models, and contribution frameworks that let distributed teams build in step without a central bottleneck. I led VETUS for Grundfos from visual language strategy through to production, including the operating model that keeps it self-sustaining. To me a system is not a library of parts, it is the way a team designs.

I translate master plans, brand positions, and commercial goals into frameworks teams can actually act on. From ten Smart City domains for Bahrain Digital City to the tiered product architecture and four-phase launch system for Badael, I work where strategy, visual identity, and hard constraint meet, including regulated and reputation-sensitive categories most designers avoid.

Grounded in cognitive psychology and human-centred technology, so research is native to how I work, not a separate phase. I plan and run usability testing with real users, synthesise what comes back, and turn it into decisions. Direction gets validated rather than assumed, which is how I keep complex, high-stakes builds honest.

WCAG 2.1 AA across everything I ship, plus NHS Design Standards on regulated services. I design inclusively from the first flow rather than bolting it on at the end. In healthcare and identity platforms, accessibility is not a finishing touch, it is the brief.

Agile delivery alongside product, engineering, and research, and the calm to align stakeholders across technical, commercial, editorial, and regulatory teams. I facilitate cross-functional workshops and have taken deliverables to sign-off at CEO and CTO level. Equally comfortable leading design solo or setting direction for distributed teams.

For over a year I have built LLM tools into my daily practice across research synthesis, documentation, and rapid exploration. Not a novelty but an edge: it compresses the distance from open question to validated direction, and frees more of my time for the judgement and craft that actually move a product.
