Project Overview

Designing for a luxury audience meant striking the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality.

The challenge was to create a user-centric platform that offers a premium shopping experience while seamlessly integrating with Shopify. Additionally, ensuring brand consistency across diverse categories - from activewear to wellness - was key to enhancing user engagement.
The e-commerce platform serves as a hub for six business units: Move, Wear, Restore, Thrive, Nourish, and Learn. My role was to design an intuitive, luxurious digital experience that aligns with the brand’s premium identity, ensuring consistency across both web and mobile platforms.

The design process followed a user-centered approach, starting with competitive analysis and user research to define key pain points. This informed the wireframing and prototyping stages, where iterative feedback loops were crucial for refining the user experience. Collaboration with development teams ensured that the final designs were feasible and aligned with technical requirements.

Design & Define

We began by conducting user research to understand the target audience’s preferences and shopping behaviors. This included analyzing luxury e-commerce trends, gathering stakeholder insights, and identifying key user needs. The discovery phase highlighted the importance of mobile-first design, intuitive navigation, and personalized user journeys.

Design & Deliver

Armed with research insights, I developed wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize user flows for key features like product discovery, class bookings, and personalized recommendations. The design phase emphasized consistency across all touchpoints, from typography to interactive elements. Close collaboration with developers ensured seamless integration into Shopify, while usability testing informed final refinements. The result was a cohesive, high-end e-commerce platform that enhanced user engagement and reflected Kayanee’s brand values.
